Thanks to whoever wrote the stuff about Bzr and rebase! - Joel Pitt

In my opinion the bzr rebase method is way off base (pun intended). There is a reason that rebase doesn't come builtin with bzr: you aren't meant to use bzr that way.

The way it seems to want to be used with a centralised repository, is to bind and unbind. ie

  • bzr checkout location
  • bzr unbind
  • do some changes
  • bzr commit (note that the commit is local because we are unbound)
  • more changes
  • bzr commit
  • (ready to push)
  • bzr bind
  • bzr update
  • bzr commit (this commit pushes to the central repository. No issues with the logs)
