We use the term Unit to refer to a simple AtomSpace together with a collection of CIM-Dynamics (which in practice are implemented in MindAgents). Each Unit may potentially run on multiple machines; we use the term Lobe to refer to an individual software process that is part of a Unit. A Unit consists in general of multiple Lobes running in multiple software processes (generally on multiple machines), but sharing the same "distributed virtual AtomSpace." Most discussions regarding OCP cognition may be carried out on the level of Units rather than Lobes, but for instance the discussion of MindAgent scheduling in OpenCogPrime:Scheduling is an exception
