octool is a script to configure an OpenCog development environment on a fresh installation of Ubuntu 16.04. It has options to selectively download, build, test and install some of OpenCog's projects. For using it follow the steps below,

Download and create a symbolic link from ocpkg

wget http://raw.github.com/opencog/ocpkg/master/ocpkg
ln -s ocpkg octool

Options that are available can be displayed by running 'octool -h'.

To install all dependencies necessary to build OpenCog:

./octool -rdpcav -l default
# Optional: Add -s for installing dependencies for haskell binding.

To install all dependencies necessary to build AtomSpace and MOSES:

./octool -rdcv
# Optional: For atomspace add -s for installing dependencies for haskell binding.

To install all dependencies necessary to build Cogutil:

./octool -rdv
