Attention Values are associated with atoms in the AtomSpace. They are packages of quantitative information indicating the degree of Attention that should be paid to an Atom and have three components.
Short Term Importance
( abbrev. STI. )
This indicates the immediate expected utility of this atom. Those that are above the Attentional Focus boundary.
Long Term Importance
( abbrev. LTI )
The long term usefulness of keeping the atom around; regulates Forgetting
Very Long Term Importance
( abbrev. VLTI )
An integer count that can prevent atoms from ever being forgotten by Attention allocation.
