Tickets for the Airport Express train can be purchased before boarding the train, or you can ride without a ticket and pay at the exit. At this time you can purchase an Octopus card for $150 CASH ONLY (the card costs $50, which leaves $100 credit on it; ATMs are close by before boarding the train). The Octopus can can be used to pay for the Airport Express trip and all other MTR trips. I usually keep about $300-$500 credit on my Octopus card, just for the convenience as it can be used at 7-eleven shops, grocery stores, and other businesses. dhart (talk)
